Quarantine and Book Awards

Well, this is awkward. We’ve been through two lockdowns here in the Pacific Northwest, and I’ve now received award recognition during both of them. That’s right: I’m delighted to announce that Keep Me Afloat was recently honored as a finalist in American Book Fest’s 2020 Best Book Awards! (The Ingredients of Us won a 2020 Book Excellence Award during the first lockdown back in March).

Still, it’s great timing, because Keep Me Afloat happens to be on sale all month long! If you haven’t read it yet, now’s your chance to snag it for only $1.99.

Normally I’d celebrate at my favorite cocktail bar, but that’s not an option in 2020. So: how do you suggest I celebrate at home? If you have any good ideas, let me know!

I am also excited because I just sent my new novel off to my agent! I can’t say much about it yet, but hopefully I’ll have more news soon. In the meantime, I’ll be pivoting my focus to a brand-new project.

But enough about me: let’s talk about you! I’d love to know your favorite read of 2020! Let me know by replying to my newsletter.
